Our Student Health, Safety and Welfare
In accordance with the Illinois ANCRA (325 ILCS 6/5) all employees have a duty to report all actual or suspected cases of child abuse, neglect or abandonment. Employees will have immunity from liability if they report abuse and have a duty to comply with child protective investigations as per the policy stated in the Children's Tribe handbook.

All staff is CPR and First Aid trained. Our staff also holds Illinois Food handler certification.

Our Guides maintain 24 hours of Professional Development throughout our academic year; within the Illinois State Board of Education. Our Guides maintain 26 hours of Professional Development throughout our academic year; within the American Montessori Society.
Our Story
Head of Academy, Nicole Smith, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Montessori certification for 2.5 to 6 from NAMC and AIM. From the Prepared Montessorian Institute. Mrs. Smith also holds a certification for 6 to12 and from Guided Montessori Studies certification for Leadership. Mrs. Smith opened Children's Tribe in 2017, after teaching in a Montessori primary classroom for 10 years.
